KAT ABUGHAZALEH.
I was looking to volunteer my skills for a cause of some sort and I happened to come across the Kat Abughazaleh for Congress campaign. Kat is a candidate running for Illinois's ninth district with a progressive, grassroots movement behind her and I wanted to be a part of that by using my graphic design and illustration skills to create ideas for campaign merch, posters, social media posts, and a brand guideline. I wanted to utilize the motif of the Chicago flag with both the colors and four center stars while keeping in mind the fresh, young energy Kat brings to the political landscape. It's an ongoing effort of volunteers with all sorts of skills lending a hand for a greater cause.
